Update: PRICE REDUCTION - ALL PRICES NOW IN CANADIAN DOLLARS!
I am now ready to go with this thread.
I have come to the conclusion that my planned large scale 35mm E6 film project isn’t going to happen, and I should sell the film that I had planned to use for it.
I have in excess of 340 rolls of 35mm slide film that I am putting up for sale here. I'll provide further details in a later post, but I am confident in my belief that it has been kept frozen since it was purchased fresh from reliable retail sources. I've now removed the film from the off-site freezer space to a cool storage area, pending its sale.
All film is E6 process. All rolls are in individual plastic containers. Most of the film is either in original single roll boxes or in the 20 Roll boxes that Fuji film used to be available in. A lot of the individual roll boxes are still in the multiple roll never opened cellophane wrapped "bricks".
Each of the next several posts will include a table with an item line number, information about the film offered, the price per roll and photos of the film packaging/containers. For illustration purposes, I have removed from packaging a very few examples and photographed them, before returning them to the original package- most have never been opened by me, and most likely have never been opened by anyone.
There were originally 15 rolls of daylight balanced Kodak Ektachrome with the rest of the film. I have set that aside for my use and shot some of that already, with good results.
Three and one-half years ago I also shot one test roll of the Fuji film, also with good results, in mixed lighting. I’ll post a scan or two from the results in this thread.
While I have exposed some of the film, had it professionally developed, and been happy with the results, but there is no way I can reasonably guarantee its condition. For that reason, this film is sold "As-Is" without warranty.
All prices are in US dollars. I prefer PayPal and will bear the PayPal costs. Do not mark as "gift" - if I sell something and accept PayPal, I pay the fee.
Shipping: I will ship at cost (plus a small amount extra for packaging expense) via Canada Post from V4K 2Z9, but must insist on a trackable shipping mode. I will gladly ship internationally, but will only put accurate values and description on the customs forms.
For Canadian customers only, who are prepared to pay by Interac e-Transfer, I'll still add postage costs to Canadian addresses, but will offer a favourable exchange rate from the US dollar purchase.
If anyone is local and wants to meet, you can save shipping and packaging expense. I'll happily accept Canadian cash, and will offer the same favourable exchange rate.
Postage costs in Canada can be fairly expensive. I pack well, but that can increase postage costs, so be prepared to pay a fair amount for that part of any transaction. As an example, a 2.2 pound parcel that is 12" x 8" x 8" would cost me $22.36 CDN/~$17.00 USD to send a tracked package to California.
At least initially, I'll not fill any orders for less than 5 rolls, and I won't split any of the "bricks" or original multiple roll boxes.
Please contact me by "Starting a Conversation" - click on my Screen name and then the "Start a Conversation" link. Be sure to indicate which film(s) you are interested in by referring to the line numbers in the tables. I'll answer any questions I can. Questions that take the form of an offer to purchase, pending an agreement on shipping and packaging costs, will be considered to be dated and timed as of the initial offer, once agreement is reached on those shipping and packaging costs.
It will be helpful if you include an email address in your conversation.
If I receive multiple orders, I will try to fill orders based on the order they are received, with one caveat. If someone offers to purchase all of this film before I confirm any smaller sales, I may accept that offer instead. The time of your “Conversation” will be used for determining the order I fill any conflicting orders.
There is a potential that I will receive several orders, in which case it will take some time for me to get all the packaging and shipping done. I will endeavour to have orders shipped promptly after receiving cleared payment.
It won’t hurt to make an offer on the price, but I won’t promise you that it will help - at least for a while.
The individual tables and photos follow.
