Is is just or is the price of high end ultra compact film camera actually going up, and if this trend continues could that mean that someone might actually make a new one?

Well, at some point when the used market dries up enough for any product that demand generates return of "new" pricing, then it makes sense for some company to consider producing new ones.

If we keep the demand for film strong enough, and for long enough, we just might see the return of specific film camera styles. Even if they are made of titanium ans carbon fiber or whatever materials are in vogue at the time of their production, they will probably be quite good.

Jedidiah I think for some cameras it already has, I'm not sure what % of the new price the second hand price of something gets too before it becomes apparent that there's enough demand for a new one.

Does anyone know if Fuji still make any currently?

I think they still make and sell the Klasse-S, Klasse-W and Natura Classica-N. I recently bought a Klasse-S that I really like the handling and feel of. Jury is still out as to whether it matches or outperforms my Contax T2...
