I have many used/empty film cassettes and some plastic canisters that I would like to sell to photographers who bulk load their film, and/or crafters. I have access to many of these and hate to see them thrown away. Where is a good place to sell these and what is a good asking price? I tried googling, but got results for cassette tapes and such and not many for film, so I thought I'd ask here.
FYI, most 35mm cassettes cannot be reloaded -- but some are sold on EBAY anyway. The reloadable ones are desirable -- if the price is right. Another issue is whether they are DX coded.
Probably by the mixed big bag full , warning the buyers that they are not the refillable type .
You don't want them leaving feedback saying they got scammed , do you ?
It would make sense to sort them by film speed (DX code) and number of frames (mostly 24 vs. 36). Some cameras only accept setting film speed by reading the ISO from the cassette. And some cameras will only expose the number of frames encoded in the DX code.
You could try here on Photrio. It's probably one of the most accessible marketplaces in terms of cost and it gets you into contact with a relevant audience. You need a paid subscribership to post ads, but this doesn't cost all that much. eBay is the other logical alternative.
Can't really say much about an asking price; never thought about it. I have a good supply of these myself, so I never had to look into it...

Thank you. I'll look into a subscription and see about eBay. I have a lot of the film canisters too. Those usually end up in the recycling bin, but I'll try giving those a listing too.
If the cassettes are from a store film processor the film tongue sticks out about a 1/4" at minimum. Makes it easy to splice a the new film onto the to tongue.
I used to load 35mm Velvia from a bulk roll and never had a problem reusing 35mm cassettes. Pop them open, put all the bits and bobs into my changing bag and good to go.
