Hopefully I'm posting in the appropriate place.

I shoot 35mm colour using a Leica M6. After scanning and developing my first roll I don't feel comfortable paying through the tooth for low quality scans with white dust marks. I am going to venture into a dedicated film scanner.

I know many use Epson flatbeds with positive results however after buying expensive equipment, I want to get the best colour out of my photos with great resolution.

What have people's experiences been like with the medium to higher prices scanners? Not talking about Hasselblad expensive, but rather, Pacific Image Powerslide (approximately $1000 US). Some people have had problems with them. What will the difference be in quality compared to a flatbed.

I'm not that concerned with efficiency in terms of scanning large amounts because I don't take a huge load of photos. Just want quality imaging
