First commercial photo studio was in San José, Costa Rica. Now retiring after 35 years in the business in Baltimore. Lots of good useful photo stuff to dispense -- strobe lighting, light stands, soft boxes, cameras, darkroom equipment. Sold my 8x10 Horseman on this site about six years ago. Sale went fairly fast and smoothly. Hope I can do the same again. Good to be back!

If your retirement is like mine, you will find that you have never been so busy, but it is doing what you want to do.

It sounds like a welcome back then!

Are you clearing out some items? I'm down the road from you in DC.

Yes, RB67 system, Horseman 4x5 (w/5 lenses), as mentioned above - lots of studio gear, lighting, etc.. Are you looking for something in particular?

Truer words were never spoken. Not enough hours in the day to accomplish what I need to do.

I am mostly looking to stay out of trouble with my incredibly patient wife, so must tread carefully here... There is a nice film photography group based in Baltimore, but it is on Facebook. Not sure if you have a list or website, but I'd be happy to post about it on the group to see if anyone there is in need of local gear.

Are you selling the 4x5 lenses together only? If you are willing to separate them, which lenses do you have available?

My one Hail Mary studio item is a yoke for a BALCAR GALAXY BOX 4X4.

I'm envious of you retired guys. I'm not there yet but hopefully soon. I'm sure I'll have no trouble keeping busy!

Getting old is not as good as staying young.

Since retiring 7 years ago, I've often wondered when I had the time to work! :D

Me too. I do not know how I got anything done back then.

I'm also down in the DC area and would be interested in taking some of these gems off your hands! In particular the darkroom stuff and perhaps the Horseman rig.

Hey! Having "retired" from deadlines a few years ago, I'm finding new personal uses for that equipment and those exposed portfolio images that I didn't have the time to really work with before. It does put me in the category of "hybrid" and all I can say is don't give up a good working system to go forward with just yet. Just take a well deserved break and reflect on what you have done. You may find you would like to make some images for yourself! "Advanced amateur" can really be a blast! Great that you made it this far tho!

When I retired I sold my stuff off and then years later bought it all back. Not the same cameras etc. but same models. Don't be to quick to get rid of camera gear. Studio stuff yes, get rid of that for sure.

Look forward to your input.

Best of luck and good wishes for your retirement.

Things can only get better ! ! !

huh, the fond memories of being retired!!!!

did it for almost 4 months - then the grandkids moved in... now 4 years later they're adopted and i'm a dad again.

no rest, no retirement, and less time than the 1st time around - and yes a lot of fun!

welcome back

Are you still selling your RB kit? Would be interested.
