34/35 mounts?

Hello folks

I have a Tachihara 4x5 view camera and would like to get a wider lens for it, I believe I can't go below 90 mm for these cameras. I went to the Keh website and there I got confused about the 35 mount and 34 mount. What does that mean? I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me.
Also does it make a lot of difference if the lens' largest aperture is F8, considering that I usually shoot landscapes and those too at about f32?

KEH uses their own language. 34 and 35 mount mean that the lens is in a #1 (Compur ... standard, there are other standards) shutter and that it should be mounted on a lensboard drilled for a #1.

Choosing between an f/8 and a faster 90 mm lens for 4x5? Well, faster lenses are easier to focus. FWIW, I have two 90s, an f/6.8 and an f/14, think that the f/14 is quite usable. In the Schneider line, f/8 Super Angulons probably aren't quite as good as f/5.6ers - less coverage -- but users are quite happy with both.

I've always taken the lens board numbers to mean the diameter of the mount hole in millimeters as there is was no standard for shutter sizes for many years.
SKgrimes site has fewer shutter sizes listed than it did a few years back.

Charles, skgrimes' new site isn't exactly like the old one. They give dimensions for Ilex shutters, look under Library. I couldn't find Compound dimensions, but there's always www.suadeau.eu

Isn't 35mm for a #0 shutter not #1? Also check the filter size on the faster 90mm lenses. It can be 82mm which is big and costly. One of the reasons I stick with my Nikon f8 90mm.
