300mm lens question

I picked up a Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 1:4.5/300mm lens, minus shutter a while back and want to hear from others who have some experience with this lens. I have it mounted in a Sinar lens board with a Sinar shutter on a 4X5, but understand it will cover 8X10 as well. Anyone out there ever used this lens?

Anyone know of a shutter for this lens? It's about 31/4" across at the threads.

Schneider says a V/12+5FS shutter - Anecdotal comments elsewhere suggests that an Ilex #5 would work.
Maybe a call to SK Grimes (whilst sitting down) might provide further help.
