Does anyone have any information on these lenses. I have an opportunity to purchase one in new condition. I was thinking of using it on by 10x10 Fotar enlarger. Currently, I have an older Rodagon (in the silver barrel). I'm pretty happy with it, but the CL is brand new in the box and cheap. My basic understanding is that the Rodogons are better overall performers than the Ronars (for enlarging), but I don't know what the "CL" designation means, or it would make a difference.
Thanks

I beleive the cl ronars are the newer versions. They are process lenses, and work well for enlarging. A lab used to do my 2x10 pans with a ronar, and found that you needed to stop to f 16 to get good sharpness edge to edge when printing. they did tests and found it was critical.

Thanks for the info Jamie. I guess I can pick up the Ronar and see how it compares to my older Rodagon. I usually don't print more than 11x14, but occasionally 16x20.
