Hi All,
I have a 30 inch Artar which is Apochromatic but doesn't have a red dot.
I've been researching the lens in order to find a fair asking price but only find Red Dots to compare it to.
I've looked in all the obvious places to no avail, can anyone educate me on the difference?
TIA,
Rory

The bottom line difference, I believe, is that it's not coated, and that when they started coating them, they added the red dot. Am I right: Is it coated?

Oh of course, the Apo refers to aberration which has no bearing on coating, thanks for the reminder.
