Just tried my 3 years old Fuji Hunt C41 Fixer on HP5Plus.
At C41 delution the test leader cleared in 10 second.
The fixer took so much purple dye out.
Waiting it dry and see the results.
But I can see the simplicity of using the same fixer

Yep, neutral rapid fixer is great, and for most B&W printers it's by far the cheapest and most effective solution for paper fixing.

Is the fixer concentrate cloudy?

You mean "dilute"?
I usually use it between 1+4 and 1+10, but more often closer to 1+10. Doesn't matter whether it's b&w or color, film or paper. Only for alt. process prints like salted paper I dilute it down further.

During the Covid mess I needed E6 chemistry I ended up with a 5 gallon cubitainer of Fuji Universal fixer. Works with C-41, E-6, B&W. Dilution is different for E6, slightly weaker. Works fine and was cheap (at that time).
I split up into full glass bottles, I have a place to store, won't do it again in such huge quantity.

1+4 for C-41 and B&W film, 1+9 for E-6.

Use one shot. Problem solved.

No need to use color fixer single shot (unless that is film processed in a rotary processor). Working solution last very long.

I use a Jobo. Bir even without it using fixer one shot keeps everything clean.

I am using FUJI-HUNT Unifix C-412 fixer, at 1+4, for almost 20 years now and it is great!
For film and paper, two bath, 2min each for film and 2min and 4min for FB paper.
It's a neutral fixer which can easily be topped off to last long, if I had the technology at home, I could it rejuvenate...

I used to buy it in 20liter jerrycans at Fuji-Hunt's production facility in Sint-Niklaas which is about 35 km from where I live.
