I just bought a GA645 off of eBay,
I shot 2 rolls of film with it, 1 color (portra 400), 1 B&W (Ilford XP2) and all frames have 3 stripes down the right part of the frame (when viewed horizontally)
I don't see anything weird with the lens, and can't figure out what is causing it. any ideas?
they appear almost like a rainbow on the color film
got it, my scanner's head picked up something that's making the stripes (I'm blaming the cats ) . I cleaned the glass, but it's still there, so somehow the head itself (under the glass) has got something on it. so I get to poke inside my scanner, always a fun thing to do.
If this was a digital forum I would say something about making certain that the calibration area is clean but since this is an analog only area I would never discuss such things...

I've moved it, so go ahead
I agree, btw. Cleaning the calibration area is the first thing to do.
What kind of scanner are we talking about? I've had to lift the glass platen off my 4990 several times so far to clean it. It becomes a routine maintenance activity at some point.
