3 lens kit for Mamiya M645???

I got the 45mm a couple of weeks back and it really is a nice nice lens.

I am quite sure that anything structural in the "N" lenses is metal. The plastic that is used is very high grade, and appears and feels very similar to metal parts on the "C" lenses. I also think that there is some use of plastic on the "C" lenses.

If you are looking for a 150mm f/3.5 "C", I have a nice one that I really ought to consider selling .

C lenses use plastic in the M/A switch, and in the little red index bit. Otherwise they're all metal (mostly aluminium) and glass.

The only bit that I wish was better made on the C lenses is the mount, which is black anodised aluminium. It's quite soft. My Nikon and Bronica lenses use chrome plated brass mounts, which are significantly more durable.

I have 45mm but sometimes need that extra 10mm for landscapes. I also recommend 80/1.9, it's great for night photography with 400-800asa films. I'd like to have my hands on those APO f/2.8, too.

Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the 150/2.8. I've currently got a 55/2.8, 80/2.8 and 80/1.9, and have just ordered a 45/2.8N. I'm thinking of selling the 80/2.8 and possibly the 55/2.8, and using the money to buy a 150. I note the 150/2.8 has the same 67mm filter thread as my 80/1.9 and new 45/2.8, so I could conceivably get about with a three lens kit and just one (gasp) set of filters.

But of course it's ~3-4 times the cost of a 150/3.5.

Sounds like a plan! I have both the 80/1.9 and 150/2.8 but I kept the 80/2.8 & 150/4 for two reasons, the matching filter sizes and I take them in a smallish bag (along with 55/2.8 & 45/2.8) as my 'travel kit' The 80/1.9 & 150/2.8 are big enough that I'd need a new bag and a new set of filters (I haven't got any to fit the 45mm).

Besides the smaller filter size, the other advantage of the 55mm f/2.8, 80m f/2.8 and 150mm f/3.5 or 150mm f/4.0 is that you can use the Mamiya quick focus lever with all these lenses, whereas it cannot be used with the larger barrels on the other models. I find that lever to be very useful.

Why doesn't the OP answer this very relevant question? There's no sense replying till he tells us what he wants to do with the camera. If it's sports, maybe long glass. If it's portraits, short teles or soft focus...

FWIW--I've been shooting with the same 45mmf/2.8, 80mmf/1.9 & 150mmf/3.5 for years. I have thought about getting other lenses, something really wide 24mm or really long the 300mm or 500mm but never do get them. One thing people have talked about is the filter size thing, my 45mm and 80mm use a 67mm filter and the 150mm uses a 58mm filter. I just use a step up ring 58/67 so I only have to carry one sized filter, I just use the hood from the 80mm when I want a hood.
