Hello,

I own some British falling plate cameras made in ~1900 with the two tripod mount screws size which is smaller than 1/4" : it looks like 3/16".
Was this size common in the XIXth century ?

The camera on the pics was made by Ilex Camera Works ( A. C. Jackson) before 1903, the year
when Houghtons Ltd absorbed this company.
