2x3 roll film back on 4x5?

Is it possible to adapt a 2x3 back to 4x5? I was thinking of using an old Graflex holder and putting the 2x3 back in it. I have both Graflex and Graphic backs for my Anni. I guess the biggest problem would be getting the film plane exactly where the ground glass focus would be. Any thoughts?

just buy one ready made

if you have a graplock back, graplex made them (4x5 plate with 120 roll)... or you can get a calumet (and others) that just insert into the spring back.

If you actually have a graflex back, you need the roll film holder that also fits the RB series of cameras - they're hard to find and usually expensive when you do - if you look carefully on ebay, you'll sometimes find one that's not identified (but can be spotted by carefully looking at the photo) as such and which therefore goes cheaper.

If you have a spring back (graphic back) you need a Calumet (C-2, I believe) holder.

If you have a Graflok back (aka International Back), there are graflex roll film holders (the older 22 & 23 and newer RH-8, 10, 12) as well as those made by other manufacturers. The Graflex ones shouldn't run more than $50.

You could also just buy a Graflok back for your Anny - figure $75-100 - and then use the graflex made roll film holders.

PS - I have a roll film holder for a Graflex back that someone inexplicable (given the relative scarcity of one vs the other) hacked to make it fit into a graflok. I haven't looked at it to see if I can re-adapt it for a graflex back but it might be possible.

I have 6 of the old Graflex holders with the slots on the long edge. They were bought from a fellow APUG member after I got the camera. I have since bought a Graphic spring back that fits the camera as well. So a bit of experimenting will be in order I think. Thanks for the link Ian. I looked at that yesterday and it gave me some ideas. If this works I'll post some pics.
