Big round of applause!

FWIW, I prefer yours over both the first and third place entries. Honestly, I do...

Congrats! My phone cant see the link right now but I'll try it later on a desktop pc. What alternative process did you use?

Ps. Rangefinder is a free monthy magazine for people in the US. It seems to be ad sponsored so I guess that model has been working well for them. Though they don't talk or exhibit much work from rangefinders haha. If you go to their site you can sign up for the free print version for some reading material.

Newt-

it's a 5x7 inch palladium print from an in-camera negative, on Bergger COT320 paper. The film was Arista.EDU Ultra 200 (aka Fomapan 200), souped in Pyrocat HD.

Ken-

Thank you ever so much. In retrospect, since Rangefinder is sponsored by the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, it doesn't surprise me a portrait should be declared the grand prize winner. I'm actually surprised that the tree won at all, when you look at the other winners, all of which had people in them. All the winners are quite good, and I suspect it was a close call to decide which images got what prizes. In reality, being in the winners circle is honor enough (although I can't say I'd have turned down the extra $500 gift certificate to a camera store!).

I responded in your other thread, but it must be reiterated - Congratulations to you, Scott; that is truly wonderful.
