$275 For sale a Tachihara Hope 4x5 wooden field camera. Both cosmetically and functionally the camera is in good condition, and film tested. All the controls can be locked securely, all the movements are smooth, the bellows are light tight, and the ground glass is clear and clean.

Item is located in SF Bay area of California.

If this camera is like the Tachi I had in the 1980s, it has 13" of bellows extension- longer than any of the Japanese featherweight 4x5 cameras. This will allow you to use a (smaller) 300mm lens, like a Nikkor-M or a Schneider G-Claron. That would be a useful selling point for what is already a fine field camera.

I just did some experiment, and this Tachihara 4x5 has a bit over 12 inches of bellows extension, and can use a Nikkor M 300/9 lens focusing from about 10-15 feet all the way to infinity. If you use a top hat lens board, you can focus even closer.
