I found a few nice meniscus lenses and mounted them according to Wollaston’s original design of 1812...

Perfect for most 5x7 cameras having at least 16” (410mm) bellows draw.
On 4x5 cameras (with 16” or longer bellows draw), 268mm gives a “medium telephoto” rendition.
On an 8x10 camera 268mm equates to a “short normal” angle of view.

The degree of softness is primarily controlled by the aperture (“stop”) cards.
Some may also use a yellow or light green filter (72mm) to fine tune softness.
Contrast variables during developing and printing also influences softness and image quality.

Basic lens, five aperture cards, lens cap, cleaning cloth, and mounting screws: $145.00. (+ shipping).
Baltic Birch plywood 96x99mm Linhof size lensboard (black paint or clear resin finish) is: $39.00 (installed).
Want a different lensboard? I’ll clone almost any kind you want…
