You did get an even number, they just threw in an extra for free.

That's it! Genius marketing! Change the box to say "bonus pack 24+1"
I believe I have some AGFA paper and film boxes with that written on it.
At least those cartridges-with-benefit were quite common:

But I just found this:

(the shortest type 135 film ever...)
Funny, my 120 is always 8.
Well film holders hold two, so if you have any OCD tendencies... It's just one of those eternal mysteries, or a way to get people to buy two boxes at a time.
Nothing gets wasted when I print 6x9, not for years anyway.
I'm just cheap, I like using cheaper "nice" frames instead if custom ones... So 8x10 makes more sense, and is sizable to 11x14 and 20x24 also available in cheap non-custom frames.
Buy 2 x 25 then its even ......
I often come back with an odd number of sheets exposed...so an odd number of sheets in a box is not much of an issue.
Don't you ever develop the wrong side by accident? In principle it should be easy to remember the orientation of the holder before you turn the lights out, but you know how things move themselves around in the dark.
