That's a nice price on the 120 format film. I wish I knew more about Foma, I might need to buy a brick of this stuff. Is it comparable to FP4 and HP5?
Yes it is. Not good or bad. They're just different. AllI could say that the film looks old fashioned. I've used it for a very long time rebranded as Arista EDU Ultra. At first there were production problems, now it's pretty consistent. The first version had a super curly film base.No. Its very different. A good review of the 400 https://bluemooncameracodex.com/film-fridays/fffomapan400

I like Foma film processed in HC-110 dilution B.Thanks for sharing. Good to read something positive about Foma 400 every now and then. I only shoot it in 120 (it's awesome) but the first couple of pictures in the review you linked make me want to try it in 35mm. Wonder how it'll look in Fomadon Excel or Xtol.

I just went nuts at B&H
What makes it so sad? People buying film means there will be a lot of photography. IMHO, nothing wrong with that. This is saddening.

Freestyle are the USA distributors for FOMA. Which means that B&H buys from them.I viewed your original post as "hey support freestyle, they're a small company selling film." And instead everyone went to B&H.

Freestyle isn't a small struggling company. These guy's make enough chemistry to float a aircraft carrier.

Do they have manufacturing capacity? These guy's make enough chemistry to float a aircraft carrier.

I agree with NB. I learned about Fomapan Classic 100 when I visited Fotoimpex in Berlin. The sales gent suggested that I try some of the 100. Here are some examples from 120 size rolls:Foma 400 is different than foma 100.
Great films.
Foma 100 is the most traditional film of all. Very, very fine film.
