It's on ebay ..completed listings. I'm wondering what this lens is. I've recently purchased for $25 a 210mm (213.7) F/8 Goodkin-Astro JML lens owned by a former VP of the Goodkin company ..and it's perfect. Should be great.

I've read where you can open the iris up on one of these JML-type lenses through some sort of operation and maybe get an extra stop or so ..along with image characteristics sorta Vitax-like in quality.
This lens gives you that extra stop+ at 4.5 but the seller says it's also the only stop available. I'm wondering if the lens is optimized for f/4.5 thus throwing the whole soft-focus thing out the window

Process lens like the other I bought or something else?
Why is it stuck onto this box? This someones homemade camera or something?
240mm is correct for 8x10 enlarging ..is this to some sort of enlarger?

I know, $20 is next to nothing to buy and try out
Only
I have a mere handful of type 55 left and I'm saving it for Eastern Redbud photos. I'll have to buy some sheet film soon.

I have a 1912 Buster Brown 3A with meniscus lens in f/16 Deltax shutter which I've opened up as large as possible to see if I get a unique image from it ...so there is already lots of other things to experiment with
especially considering I'm brand new to large format.

Any ideas on that Goodkin lens? Thanks
