This offering is suspended until mid-June - I'll be traveling with limited online access and no ability to ship until I return.

For sale is a nice Schneider 240mm/420mm convertible lens, s/n 6247710, factory-mounted in a Compur shutter, s/n 787551. With both cells it's a 240mm f/5.6, remove the front cell and you've got a 420mm f/12. The lens is clean and clear, with a few hard-to-see marks on the rear cell's outer surface, minor internal dust, and mild Schneideritis. The coatings are quite good for a lens that dates from around 1960, not perfect but perfectly usable. There are signs of wear and usage on the lens barrels and shutter, but no dents or dings.

I believe, but am not certain, that the shutter is the elusive and (dare I say it?) rare Compur #2. The shutter sounds correct on all speeds. Unlike Copal shutters it doesn't have a separate lever to open for focusing, but I've found two ways to do this: (1) set the speed to T and operate the release lever - the shutter will stay open until you operate the release lever again, or (2) set the speed to B and operate the release lever - the shutter will stay open as long as you hold the release lever.

Includes mounting flange, Schneider front cap, and loose-fitting replacement rear cap.

Asking $235 shipped to your PayPal-verified CONUS address. International buyers - $210 plus actual insured shipping. Please don't ask me to under-value it on the customs forms, I won't do that. PayPal goods and services is fine, I'll cover the fee.

Sorry about some of the funky color balance - the iPhone does what it wants.

No. But then again, I haven’t used at least 2/3 of the lens I own. I've probably got a half dozen 240s, all of which (except this one) fit standard lens boards, so I never got around to getting a custom board for this one. I bought this specifically for the shutter with some future potential usage in mind but I’ve long forgotten what plans I may have had for it.
