Title sort of captures the essence. What this is, is a Schneider G-Claron early type which was a Dagor.

These were made concurrently with the Kern Dagor's during the gold dot era. Difference is these are f9 instead of f6.8. A full stop slower. But they encompass all of the magic that has made the Gold Dot Dagor's legendary lenses! The difference is; you'd pay 1300 dollars for a Gold Dot, and I won't be able to get 300 for this. A real win for the smart buyer.

This lens is a pleasure in use. The Polaroid Copal 1 shutter has a small repair where the cable release enters. It works perfectly in use and all speeds are dead on. Aperture scale is correct as transcribed. Not pretty but 100% functional. Hey, you can get pretty . . for $1300 bucks.

Front thread has a dent as seen. Glass is perfecto. This covers 8X10 with modest movements. More as you stop down. These are 85 degree lenses. Covers about 370mm image circle. $265 for this. You pay shipping.
