Looks like a wonderful symposium! I live about 45 minutes east of Pittsburgh, if any APUG friends are attending and want to meet up let me know.

Great Shawn! i look forward to meeting you. If there's a crew of Apug folks who want to meet up at the conference let me know.. or if you'd like a space to share work and talk on Saturday, I can probably find you an area to do so.

Thanks, Tom! I'm a pretty straight up silver gelatin guy but have thoughts of dabbling in Albumen for a specific project at some point and will surely take a workshop when that time comes.

Just for inspirational purposes, the day of lectures is utterly fantastic. I've taken workshops at three previous f295 Symposia and went to the lectures for two of them. Whether you want to try alt process stuff or not, there's lots to take away from them. Just the whole atmosphere is very creative and might easily spark something you never would have though of.
That said, I might not make it this time.

This years Friday speakers present a marvelous gamut ranging from black and white documentary to imagined 19th century robots and crazy gum prints. Beth is right, the biggest thing people take away from the event is inspiration. The workshops educate a few dozen every year, but it's the lectures, discussion, and portfolio sharing that is truly inspirational!
