I just got another 200mm f/4 SMC Pentax lens. It came with the old hood which was for the 135/2.5 and 200/4 SMC Takumars. As far as I know, the SMC Pentax versions of these lenses are both carry-over models and are essentially the same as the SMC Takumars they replaced but with K mounts. After a little looking, I found that there is an SMC Pentax hood which was for the 135/2.5, 200/4 and 85-210/4.5 SMC Pentax models. It looks shorter than the Takumar hood. I guess it has to be if it can work with zoom at the 85 setting. I assume that the Takumar hood which came with the 200/4 SMC Pentax will work properly but I will test it. The later and smaller 200/4 SMC Pentax-M has a built-in hood but I don't think it's as good as the lens which came before it. I have at least three of the M lenses, two of the SMC Pentax lenses and a number of 200/4 Super Takumar and SMCT lenses.
