20 women photographers - learned something new!

Maureen O Conner bought 40 originals online when John M first put them up... She is considered the Ebay women in certain circles.

Also a young man from Ottawa or Montreal purchase many home movies that she made.

He discovered nothing he just bought a a box of negatives and sold them on line and they where noticed by others who realized the importance of the work......

And if he hadn't sold her work on line?

+1 for Bunny.

Ya know, when I was first getting into serious photography and ran across the name Bunny Yeager, I swore it was a stage name. I though it was a word play on "Rabbit Hunter" and that her true surname may have been Hasenjager or something similar. I later learned that her true name was Linnea Yeager, nicknamed Bunny. She's one who very successfully "graduated" or transitioned from the front of the camera to the rear.

Maloof created nothing.

How her work came to the public eye in the end is quite an amazing story.

But if Ms Maier had not created such wonderful photographs in the beginning there would have been no story.

personally i think there are probably more influencial woman photographers than men.
its just that for the past IDK 150 years men have been in charge
or writing the his-stories of things so naturally they leave out the women who changed everything.
thanks for posting the link!

I just found someone special (Victoria Ivleva) to me. Really a nice list.

Thank you for introducing me to her images. She has an excellent eye and I had never heard of her.
