Hey, if it sells for way too much I have another brick just like it in my freezer.
What, exactly, is the purpose of processing Kodachrome as black and white? If you have already shot some photos you want to salvage, ok, I can understand that. But to set out to shoot it? There are designed-for-black-and-white films that are bound to be better.
I suppose "because you can" is really reason enough if you really want to do so, but that just doesn't appeal to me. Too much work for results that won't be as good as I could get with tried and tested films.
I have one roll of K200 I didn't manage to shoot before the deadline. I figured I'd just keep it as a souvenir. I shot all the 64 I had.

It would be good for demo and practice film for students, so they can learn to load 120 onto steel reels. We have plenty of 35mm for demo and practice, but no 120.
Oh. But once you consider shipping, it's going for more than the price of fresh, purpose made black and white Fuji Acros. Some people are just nutz!

I can see shooting it and processing as B&W if you already own the junk, but not spending money to buy it.

Hell it took from February to Mid-May of posting in APUG for me to give away four rolls of 36 exposure ISO 64 and ISO 200!

I hadn't looked at the price yet when I wrote that. Ridiculous! I was thinking maybe a quarter or 50 cents a roll....

I just noticed it a couple of days ago. I think it was $99 for 50 rolls. Cheap film, cheap price. Good for practice and testing repairs.

I sort of kept looking for someone to dump a boatload of it on eBay. But everybody wants more than it cost when you could get it processed.

I do good buying film on ebay though. A deal can be found, or made. Heck, it's worth asking. Today I picked up over 100 rolls of expired film from my local camera shop all about a 2000 expire date, I asked if they had 220 black and white, he said, no, none in the freezer in the back - immediately, I said, you have a freezer in the back, can I peak? $100 buck later, I cleaned out his freezer and walked out with over 100 rolls of film, about half 120 chrome, third 120/220 C-41 and a 20 pack of 35mm E200. Even picked up 4 rolls of advantax film.

Nah, not to be processed as B&W. If you were seriously trying to learn hand processing into slides, no small feat mind you, then we can talk.
I also doubt I would pay $50 for the brick. I did buy it after it was no longer processed, but while 135 was still going strong, for a display. I think I paid $15 or so for it, but I stuck it in my freezer rather than on a shelf for emotional rather than rational reasons.
I did think seriously about carefully picking the cellophane open and extracting the film for a guy to slit into 16mm while Dwayne's was still processing just to keep it from going totally to waste. I figured I could seal the boxes back up with something in them so it made a convincing display.
But then my rational thought processing fell apart again, and I kept it intact.
As I said, I certainly wouldn't buy it for $50 if I didn't have one, but I wouldn't sell it for $50 either.

Well, if you're the one who bid on it, and you're going to be getting it, I suggest you stick in your freezer until we determine a few things. Or the world ends, whichever comes first.
It is a waste to process it as B&W unless it has valuable images on it.
