The difference betweeen 1-2 GB and 4... GB is formatting style.
1-2 GB use FAT16
4-32 GB use FAT32
your device don't know FAT32 style formatting.
Theoretical limit for FAT16 is 2GB for 32k clusters and 4GB for 64k clusters.
So you maybe have luck and your device can know 64k clusters and the limit will be 4GB cards with custom format. Using default values in formatting software don't help so tou must tune the values in your software.
Cheers.
I think what F4user was suggesting is to format a 4Gb card in your computer as FAT16 and see if your camera can read it
I don't have any knocking around in my junk drawer, but have you tried Digikey? They've been around for decades and are reputable. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/memory-cards-modules/memory-cards/1901091?k=SD Card, then refine your parameters further.
tkamiya, glad you were able to fix him up with some of the older style SD cards.
