1961 Leica Summilux 50mm early version 2
Beautiful and built like a tank, this lens is part of the first batch of the now famous “version 2” pre-aspherical Summilux 50mm. This is the Mandler design that lasted until from 1961 to 2006!
The lens is in beautiful shape, with clean and clear glass, great coatings, and clean aperture blades. The focus is smooth and the apertures click in perfectly. The lens was CLA’d by Fima Binder in NYC in January 2025.
There are very light signs of use on the lens barrel and hood.
Comes with new, slim UV filter, XOOIM hood with two different caps (snap-in and slip-over), and original rear cap. This lens shines on both film and digital.
Asking $1999, includes fees and insured CONUS shipping.
