the focusing distance is adjusted by moving the back panel with a rack-and-pinion system
lens panel can be easily removed
leather bellows, fully light tight
the image appears crisp and clear on the glass when it is adjusted at the proper distance
the baseboard can be inserted in the opposite direction to achieve a longer bellows extension (see pics)

f/8 brass lens, about 250mm, glasses are clear and clean

18x24cm collodion plate holder, apparently intended to slide it in order to take two 12x18cm images in the same plate
