How common were these lenses? Anyone else using one for 5x7?
Lee

I have one but have not gotten round to using it yes as currently overseas so cannot use my new 5x7 either. I did quite a bit of reading and it covers 5x7 fine. I used a 240 for 10x8 and used to use a componon s 135 for 5x4. All cover just fine, so teh 180 for 5x7 should be fine too. The only reason why I switched to a 150 rodagon for 5x4 is I got it free with an enlarger and it had an illuminated scale that the componon s lacked. The 135 is every bit as sharp.

I'm using a plain old non-apo Rodagon 180mm for 5x7" - works just great. I would assume that the APO version should be fine too.

I have used a 180mm Apo Rodagon lens for years. It is a true joy to print with at F8. They were more common before Rodenstock introduced the 150 to replace it. I have no idea as to whether it will cover 5x7.
