While being an extremely sharp, if slightly slow lens, it covers full frame from 24mm to 55mm with no noticible vignette. I find myself shooting it at 18mm and just enjoying the projected image circle it gives. It all started when I put it on my F, and shot it at f36. I thought this effect was so cool, it was actually one of my motivating factors to buy an F6... I always wanted one anyway, but now I could control the aperature.
Just a thread to show you what this little "Digital" lens is capable of, and how it's useful for film photography. Lately I find myself pushing Tri-x to 1600 and shooting with either this lens or my 50mm f1.8D. Eventually, I'll be able to afford a 24-70, but until now... I can cover a lot of those focal lengths, at the very least.
The color photos are a mix of Kodachrome 40A and 64, while the black and whites are Foma 400 and Tri-X
