Schneider lenses are generally regarded highly. I have a 210 old Symmar-S and a 120 Macro Symmar HM and both are just fine. Look into Rodenstock, too, my single Rodenstock is a gem.
What thoughts exactly you are looking for?
In fact the only thing i look on LF lenses is the image circle, i never look at the quality because to me they all are high quality optics no doubt, so i better look at other things like IC[or coverage] and prices.
There are a lot of lenses that have some issues like color casts, more resolution, aberrations, good bokeh. In fact i was looking for a lens that could cover 8x10, this is not the case but could be very usabe although. Also i already have a 150mm APO-Symmar but it has a more limited image circle, and a 155 SA or Grandagon or the 150 Nikkor SW are a bit off my finances right now, but the look of the images are unique.
I own this lens. very good and you should grab it as in time people will figure out that it is a lens with special qualities; for one you can use it without stopping down all the way..very convenient. that said you take the picture the lens only helps....
Best. Peter
