This is a benchmark lens for me. It's the first serious large 8X10 size petzval, and the first truly excellent portraits that I made with a Petzval lens. You can see those images done about 7 years ago on this page.

This is maybe the biggest lens I ever cobbled onto the poor old venerable Kodak 2D. The picture of Yousef Khanfar was done with full 30" bellows and everything on the poor old Kodak straining to the max. It was my first good portrait, and hangs in my studio to this day. It was that peering out of water look I was looking for.

Glass on this lens is perfect. It has that funky extension thing with the threads. Not really so funky, the 2D bellows wouldn't have been enough without that high hat extension. You could cut the matching threads out of that thing and use like a flange if you wanted to.

My daughter asked me to make some engagement pics of her and friend, Jeremy and this was one of several lenses I grabbed.

OK, so money. This is the poor man's Dallmeyer 3A. The Dallmeyer is hovering around $2800 - $3200. Therefore, if this isn't worth $585 to someone, I'll just keep it.
