Does anyone by chance know the filter thread size for either the front or rear element? I'd like attach a ND filter so I can improve my exposure accuracy...

Thank You In Advance,

Corey

I doubt it's anything standard, and the filters would likely cost as much as the lens. I use 4" polyester filters (Lee makes an ND set), either in a 4" filter holder that fits in front of the lens but is supported by the camera on the Sinar, or taped to the front of the lens with one of the other cameras that doesn't have that option.

Yeah, that makes sense, it measures like 98mm or so, I haven't seen anything close to that...

Thanks!

Corey

Why do you need a filter to improve your exposure accuracy?

I use ND filters with the Verito and other big portrait lenses with untimed shutters so that I can have a possible exposure time or flash output when I'm using flash at the aperture required for the desired effect.

If you have enough light for a 1/30 sec exposure at the aperture you want, you can't do it with a Studio shutter. If you stop down, you change the effect of the lens.
