Are these lenses supposed to have rear elements? I've just bought one with a bunch of other stuff and the leaf shutter is exposed at the back. This seems very wrong to me but the seller tells me it is apparently the case.

EDIT: I never stated, it's the latest black version for the mamiyaflex tlr's

It is a very nice lens for the TLR

There is no rear element(s) covering the shutter on this particular lens. The seller informed you correctly.

Haha cheers David, I've got that site saved to favourites too. The bulk buy is going back because the 135mm has fungus and the 55mm has a dent in the filter thread. I'm not having much luck with lenses for these cameras but have decied I love em now! Can't wait to try some studio portraits with one. Just bought another 135mm for £79 'new' from an eBay shop. Should give me a bit more peace of mind.

If you are wondering what the 135 can do...

That's a nice photo. A very nice photo. Inspires me to take out my 135.

(but the 65 is still me favorite lens on the C220)

Yes, Blighty, that's a fine photograph. I loved the 135s on my C3; but also di a lot of portraits with the 105. Not as sharp, but ok for portraits.

I really need to use mine more--in fact I can't ever remember using it to take a pic. I use the 55mm&80mm mostly.
