I've shot MANY sheets of 12x20 film over the years, all of them with this camera. It is old but in beautiful condition and works wonderfully as many on this forum have even seen first hand.
I love this camera and the format is a joy to work with. I just haven't been shooting much at all with it and have been really enjoying shooting 8x10 lately and would love to maybe try and find an 11x14 or 14x17 camera/setup to try something different. So I thought I would put out feelers and see if anyone was interested in selling the setup.
thought I'd bump this given its been a few months and per the above suggestion ... tax refunds might be coming for some.
Camera has sat unused in it's case for quite some time so it's likely time for it to find a new home.
$3000 is pretty firm... but email me with offers... me(at)matthewmagruder(dot)com
If I didn't already have a Korona 12x20, I'd be tempted
I also use a Pelican 1630 for 'rougher' journeys, and have set up the pick-n-pluck foam to accomodate the camera, three holders, and a box of 12x20 film. I suspect I could fit a couple of lenses in, if I tried. How's yours set up?
BTW, prospective buyers: you want the 355 G-Claron. A joy to use witha 12x20, particularly if you have short arms
Mine is set up similarly. You can load a couple holders and a box of film into the bottom... lay the camera in then various lenses/acc and close the case easily.
I traveled with it to Massachusetts a few years ago and was able to fit: camera, 2 lenses, darkcloth, Harrison Changing Tent, accessories, 3holders, on box of film, and an empty box for exposed shots. It was FULL. but it fit and arrived safely there and back as a checked bag.
