Hello:

Does anyone have a solution for a 42mm push-on adapter for a 127 mm Polaroid Tominon in Copal shutter?

I found a 41.5 mm Series VI which will probably vignette, and would need epoxy + machine shop.

Any other suggestions please?

Thank you

One thing I have HEARD ( <------- BIG CAVEAT HERE! PAY ATTENTION!) is that you can go to auto stores and root around for hose gaskets. Find one that fits snuggly.

This is iffy but do you remember the filter holder kodak made for the polycontrast filters under the enlarger? It has three rubber tipped setscrews that would mount to the lens and you slide the filters into the slot. With the proper orientation you might be able to slide an A series Cokin filter into it and use it sucessfully. I don't know if the cokin filters will need any modifications to fit, just that the size is close.

The reference to "automotive gasket" is not correct. In automotive parts stores there are "O" rings available. You can buy a Cokin adapter ring which allows the attachment of their system to a standard threaded lens.

This adapter ring can be pressed in place on the proper diameter "O" ring which fits firmly onto the lens barrel. There are many sizes of adapters and "O" rings available. "O" rings are very cheap and will not mar the lens barrel. They come in different inside diameters and thicknesses and allow for a good fit.
