I just bought a lot of 7 "vintage" cameras on ebay. One of them happens to be a Revere eye-matic that uses 127 film. It's a curious looking camera and I wondered if a person could modify it to shoot any of the more available films.I shoot B&W in 120 and 35mm sizes, any suggestions? All will be considered. Thanks in advance,Alan.
Rollei Retro 80S a B & W pan film is also in 127 size and available from macrodirect.de I haven't come across a UK supplier yet. There is also a 127 version of the Efke infrared film, but very few people seem to stock it.
I've also seen folks use cut up 120 film reels to adapt 35mm roll film to the 620 cameras...perhaps a similar approach could be taken to adapt a roll of 35mm film to fit in the 127 space?
Alternatively, one could get an empty 127 spool and backing paper and roll 35mm film stock into the 127 spool. I've done this an it is kinda fun....even though it is a lot of work...it is not much more effort than trying to load 127 film on to a developing reel.
