Three rolls 120 Verichrome Pan, purchased for $7.00 each.
Like I need more film, Heh-Heh.

2003 should be fine. Your thoughts and ideas Please.

For the roll dated 2003 I would use HC110 or D76, shoot at ISO 50, D76 was considered the classic paring with VP, for the older rolls, maybe Diafine, shoot at box speed, hard to mess up with a divided developer, down side is that it look a little mushy as VP has really fine grain to begin with.

When I was just a kid I did my Verichrome in Dektol from the TriChem packs, then diluted that to make the prints. It looks great in Dektol so I would imagine it will look good in whatever you use.

You may be right, but my vague recollection is that the developer in those packs wasn't identified as Dektol, but rather as something like Kodak Universal developer.
But as for the OP's question, if it were up to me I would use HC-110 dil B and the recommended time for that combination from one of my Kodak Darkroom Dataguides.

Overexpose by 1 stop, and develop in Caffenol-C for approximately 10 minutes at 20 deg C will make you a very happy camper. For VeriPan this new, I might just shoot it at box speed, or reduce dev time to 8 minutes. One of the greatest B+W films ever made, still.

Here are the last docs from Kodak, this includes times for post Y2K developers such as TMAX-RS.

Tonally, VP120 and Tri-X 120 (not pro) had a lot in common, development times were within 60 seconds of each other when I shot it quite frequently in late 80s, I used D-76 1:1 for 11 mins at 68F (Tri-x was 10 mins).
I still have 3 frozen rolls from last brick I had. The last roll I developed showed a .04 density increase in base fog over when it was fresh.

Thanks Everybody! I have some new ideas, now. I'm going to shoot this little bit very carefully, probably rather slowly.
My Plaubel Makinas and Makiflexes are crying out for that unique Verichrome SMELL. Ahhhhhhhhhhh........

Monday I am going to the local Zoo with my Wife and Makina III, loaded with Verichrome Pan! Will also take some FP4+ and Foma 200, for comparison.

I have two 620 rolls I am saving for some time with my grandchildren. I have no idea how to develop in replenished XTOL after shooting it in a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera.

So I get it. But I think that just confirms, my wife's suspicion, that I'm crazy. Mine is frozen, I think I paid $1.79 a roll, or $7.00 adjusted for inflation .

I just shot a roll that expired in 1987, with unknown storage. I alternated shots exposing at 50 or 25. I haven’t scanned yet, but the negative looks a little weak, with a lot of base fog. That was in Xtol, for I forget how long. (Whatever the discontinued section of the massive dev chart said for 125.)

But I posted to say that I love that at the beginning of the roll, on the backing paper, is exposure instructions.

I'm going to shoot my three rolls at EI 50 and EI 25. That should do it. Developer? Ehh We will see.

Hi Goran,

Yes I think I will use the ADOX Borax MQ. Need to mix up some fresh stock solution.
