I just developed my first roll of 120 last night. Kodak 400TX. The camera works :D

Anyway, on the bottom edge of the film are the frame numbers 1-12 and little arrows. On the top is Kodak, 400tx, and another set of numbers, 41-53 (if I recall correctly). They have roughly the spacing of the frame numbers. What are they for? Do they mean anything?

These numbers are for ordering prints from MF negs. IIRC, the 41-50's correspond to 645 format. The 1-12 to the square format.

You are correct. I have worked with square and now mostly the 645 format and the numbers do line up in that fashion.

Ahh, makes sense. Seemed odd that it starts at 41, but whatever.

Man I want cookies now.

It fails me but it almost seems that it was in fact a Kodak piece of literature that set about the custom.

It doesn't sound like it, but I don't know for sure. It's not mentioned in their data sheets.
