120 is thicker (has paper), will cause additional pressure on the pressure-plate and the paper may bind. Mamiya says you can use 220 in a 120 back with the risk of poor film-flatness and only get half the exposures, they don't say you can use 120 in 220.
120 backs are so cheap you should just get one of those. If you find a Pro-SD power back, they have a changeable pressure plate and can be used with either 120 or 220. You should also be able to use most other brands of 2x3 graflok backs (Linhof, Horseman, etc) and they should theoretically be compatible but don't blame me if you find one that's not
The Mamiya USA website used to have a user forum. In that forum, there was discussion in that forum which included advice that 120 film could be used in the 220 backs, with the caution that it would place greater strain on the pressure plate springs, plus the observation that the counter would, of course, mislead the photographer about how many shots were available.
Thank you Polygot and Matt. I found that back from APUG free thread and costs me 20 dollars. I will build a box in front of it and attach my Kodak Fluro 110 f:1.5. I will try to build a gravity shutter for it and use everything for partial dispersion hot color , high res portraits of my mother. Lens is 6 kilogram or more.
