Hello,

I just bought myself a 501CM with a 80CB. It also came with a 21mm tube which works perfectly but is a bit long on the 80. I'm looking for a 8mm tube but in the meantime found a rather old-looking and cheap 10mm tube on ebay. Will this fit? I found a link on the web saying that it won't fit the new bodies but nothing else apart from that. Is it true? I thought all V accessories were completely interchangeable between old/new bodies...?

Thanks!

The 10 mm extension tube cannot be used directly on the 501 CM and other newer bodies because the collar around the release button is in the way.
You could still use it stacked onto another tube or you may even grind off some of the metal on the 10 mm extension tube, but If you are going to buy one, it will be better to get the newer 8 or 16 mm extension tubes
