You can also get a custom-made holder for 100mm-wide square and rectangular filters from S.K. Grimes in Rhode Island. Unlike the filter holders from Lee and others that require threaded adapter rings, the S.K. Grimes custom holder slips directly onto the outer diameter of the lens barrel so that the filter holder is flush with the front of the lens (hence, no vignetting). It uses a large rubber O-ring to maintain frictional contact with the outer metal surface of the lens barrel. I have one that slips onto the center filter (#IVb) for my Schneider 72mm Super-Angulon XL so that I can use square/rectangular filters with the center filter. The outer diameter of the IVb center filter is pretty massive at 112mm, but despite it being so big, I don't get any vignetting.
The holder comes with two filter slots and works pretty much like the Lee holder (i.e., plastic spring-like clips that hold the filters firmly in place). It was well worth the $215 I paid for it in 2021. They can custom make one for pretty much any lens barrel diameter.
