100mm Ektar for 4X5"?

Hi All
I just got a 4X5" Chromega with negholders for 4X5", 6X9cm, 6X7cm and 24X36mm + a 50mm Nikor, 80mm Rodenstock and a 100 mm Kodak Ektar (made in London). The seller assured me it should cover 4X5". From what I know that would need a 135mm.
Does the Kodak cover the format?
How easy is it to get the lensboards/tubs for a Chromega II D?
Will I need a longer one if I get a 135mm?

The cones are pretty common on ebay, though mostly from sellers in the U.S.
According to Ask Harry, a 135 uses a 2 3/4 inch cone, and the 150 uses a 4 1/2

Don't know about coverage with the Ektar, I wouldn't be surprised at it working, though you might have edge sharpness problems.

Which 100mm Ektar is it? There were two, the Wide Field 100mm Ektar and another that was not wide field. I believe that the WF Ektar will cover 4x5 as a taking lens, but I've never tried it as an enlarging lens...

That lens would really be intended for 6x9

When somebody claims something "covers" the first thing I wonder is at what magnification. With on camera use a lens coverage doubles at 2x magnification. I can't remember how it works with enlarger lenses but I want to say coverage is also listed at infinity so smaller prints can work with shorter lenses.

OTOH modern 135mm lenses are fairly cheap used.

Thanks guys I did suspect that.
Another question. The 800 and the 100mm are mounted on lenscones. I havn't measured them yet but is they realy needed for those focallenghts? Could I use one of the cones for a 135mm instead and mount e.g. the 80mm on the flat one that currently holds the 50mm?

With my old DII with condenser head, the 80mm mounts on a flat board. In fact, my 105mm also mounts on the flat board. My 135mm goes on the short cone (2 3/4"), while the 150mm goes on the longer cone (4 1/2").

I use the 80mm for 6x4.5 and 6x6, and for 35mm if I'm printing 4x5 or 5x7 prints (It gives me more working room and a longer exposure time.). The 80mm will cover 6x7 but I prefer the 105mm for 6x7 and 6x9. I can print up to 16x20 with the 135mm from a 4x5 negative but only up to 11x14 with the 150mm.

Any clue on why these lenses were mounted this way ( well ofcource ask the seller )
Will it have any effect on how big I can print?
