I used a lot of F76 and 90s in the late 80s to mid 90s, last year returned to F76 as F90 is no longer made, it was Clayton's Tgain developer. I use it with Tmax 400, I like the balance of speed, shadow detail, grain and acutance. I use it 1:9, 7.5 minutes at 68 degrees. I have used for Foma 400, right now using MCM100 for Foma and Kentmere.
I think F-76 is supposed to be like Kodak D-76 (but phenidone based), so if I had to recommend one of those two, I would go with the F-76. I am not sure what Arista is. If you want the best quality given your films then buy D-76 and mix from powder or get HC110 (and you do not have to worry about the longevity issue), but you will be spending more for the second choice (but get the ease of liquid).
EDIT: I just looked at the Arista MSDS- it is Clayton F76 Plus! So get it in a smaller size (at least that is what Freestyle has linked for the MSDS). I guess F-76 is Phenidone-Hydroquinone instead of Metol-Hydroquinone
