1/2 plate film availability?

Hi, can anyone tell me where I can find/buy 1/2 plate film? I can't seem to find it anywhere!

Ask Matt at http://www.ag-photographic.co.uk/, he's on APUG as Matt5791. He added 1/4 plate ADOX film to the list when I asked recently.

I have recently asked this of AG Photographic and the answer is a blank, certainly as far as Ilford film is concerned. They would require large orders to cut film to that size. A suggested resolution of the problem could be to use 7x5" slides if they will fit or to cut down 7x5" film. I shall certainly email Silverprint for myself as I am looking for a supplier in this country. As a matter of interest, I ordered some roll film from AG Photographic and it arrived next day.

I have asked Silverprint. They don't stock it themselves, but can put an order via Ilford (for early next year) when Ilford do special orders for film.

I have also found that www.sheetfilm.be DO 1/2 plate, but are currently out of stock. Cutting 5"x7" is still an option!

The Japanese company mentioned earlier do stock this size, but the cost.....

www.Retrophotographic.com used to stock it, but do not seem to be stocking much these days. I must contact them as to why.

I have just placed an order with Ag-Photographic for some 1/4 plate. Alas, no joy on 1/2 plate!

I highly recommend this firm - very friendly to talk to and VERY professional !! I think they are fairly new on the scene (?).
