1/2 inch stainless steel split rings

I'm looking for a source for reliable 1/2 inch stainless steel split rings (Key chains?) for my cameras to use for camera straps. I'm no metallurgist so I don't really know good from bad. I just want something that I can trust my cameras with. The ones that pop up in a quick search on Amazon or Ebay seem to not retain their shape.
 
Every hardware store and locksmith will sell those also.
 
I got mine in the fishing tackle aisle at a sporting goods store.

Sometimes you need to know what to even start searching for. It would not have occurred to me to search for jewelry supplies.

Thanks. I'm never sure about quality. Everything is made out of chinesium these days. Locksmiths tend to stick with the good stuff though.
