Ah I see. Well when you feel like having another go at it, I'd recommend:
  • Use Mr. Pinhole to calculate the pinhole diameter. If you have to go slightly off the recommended size, err on the smaller size
  • Use a laser drilled pinhole. If you let me know what size you have, I might have a spare and could send you one. Alternatively, Reality So Subtle sells pinholes that are nicely mounted on a disc for $6 - they're top quality
  • Make sure the pinhole is mounted flatly
I make these recommendations because the main culprits for poor pinholes are holes that are too big for the focal length, aren't circular, are made out of material that's too thick, and are mounted slightly crooked. Any one of those conditions alone will yield suboptimal results.
