In Japan, space comes at a very high premium. Offering as many focal-length "options" as possible to photographers gives those photographers "options" when they want to maximize the space capabilities of their studios(many are quite small, especially portrait studios which might not be much...
I would agree with Mike Bates on the statement "The GX680 is a system camera in the most complete sense."
The GX680 is NOT small, nor is it light. But it is VERY capable compared with other systems. I find that having front movements greatly aids in composing how I want the final shot to end...
Hey all,
Been a part of my gear for almost 8 years, but I've recently changed over to using a Manfrotto head, which serves my needs more efficiently.
Anyhow, the head has seen some use, but is 100% functional, as it is designed to work. Handles lock securely, and open freely(this is important...
+1
I'd also add in the following:
Galen Rowell
Peter Lindbergh
Ansel Adams (mostly in regards to how he melded his passion for photography with his love of music)
I've seen(in person) some absolutely gorgeous silver prints(actual direct enlargements) printed up to 30x40(ish) inches(print size, NOT final mat size). Look up James Nachtwey. The grain was sharp, but the detail held well. These were from Tri-X negatives, FYI.
Here's a video showing some...
Hey all,
I'm helping a friend's widow sell some of his remaining gear(well, in this case, some being "parts") to help her pay some bills.
1. (2) Anscomatic tanks
Reels are adjustable for 35mm, 120 or 220 film. Includes (1) thermometer, as shown.
$30 shipped in the USA for both
2. (2) LF...
Hey all,
I'm helping a friend's widow sell some of his remaining gear(well, in this case, "parts") to help her pay some bills. I don't know what these cameras would/could go for, as I don't shoot Super 8.
The cameras are both in rough shape, not trying to hide anything here ;)! They come as you...
Use box speed, I shot some 2003 dated Provia 100F the other day, and used 80ASA. Came out fine in regards to color-balance and contrast :)
*FYI: this particular film was purchased directly from a prior owner who had purchased it in ~2001-2002, and had frozen it until I purchased it from...
I'd order from B&H, Adorama or Badger Graphic and have it shipped to your first hotel/destination upon landing. This way, you can not have to worry about xrays/handling when entering the USA(there shouldn't be any coming in, but leaving Heathrow?) Leaving, however, you can just pass it through...
Hi all,
I recently upgraded to a 67ii body, so I will not be needing this one any longer. It works great, and despite some cosmetic flaws, is a wonderful camera to use.
TTL prism works great, all shutter speeds, according to my film, are accurate. Mirror-up works great, and is a very handy...
Hi all,
I have to let some film go, so I can make a much-needed purchase(non-camera related). I don't shoot much Velvia 50, but love it for certain subjects and situations, so I normally keep a small supply :)
Total, for sale, is as-pictured. Sold per pro-pack. All film has been frozen until I...
The 'standard' 75mm has always given me very sharp results.
The 100mm macro for the 6x7 is wickedly sharp, but manual focus only. And not very inexpensive either.
The latest 55mm 67 lens is also extremely sharp, but a tad wide for some people's tastes.

Andre,
talk with the staff at the Pasadena store *film counter* (626) 796-3300
***best if you have exact Kodak item #s***
the Hollywood staff are usually "too busy" to go hunting for things. Talk with the Pasadena staff, they're usually quite helpful with odd darkroom stuff requests.
