    New HC-110 Formula

I am not sure that it really is the 2017 datasheet, because it has information on new TMY-3200 which was released in 2018, wasn't it?

On the page for the "2019 Edition" of HC-110 at B&H, if you zoom in on the bottle it says "NEW FORMULA." This is confirmed by Alaris' website, where next to t-max dev and HC-110 it says "New Formula, Same Great Results:"...

That´s quite interesting to hear. Back when I wrote my article about the Tetenal bankrupcy for PKI and shared it via Petapixel (https://petapixel.com/2019/02/01/a-closer-look-at-tetenal-a-photo-firm-thats-too-important-to-fail/) most Alaris chems and practically all Ilford chemistry were...

You argue against your own point (and I agree). Eastman Chemical Company has about a hundred years of history being tied to Eastman Kodak. I'll bet some lingering ties yet exist; even if informally.

Back in June 2018, the Ferrania Folks hoped to be in continuous production by Fall

Thank you very much for the information. I have not informed myself a lot why Ektachrome was discontinued, but i recall an outcry everywhere i looked when Ektachrome was discontinued, leaving the impression to me that there still was an acceptable demand of Ektachrome. And a few years later they...

...the changes Eastman Kodak had to bring about in order to satisfy their desire to bring back the Ektachrome motion picture film, and Kodak Alaris' desire to bring back the 35mm still film: "With the 135 version, two entire color layer structures (6 emulsion layers) required complete...

Kodak Pension Fund to seek bailout

Well... As long as Eastman Kodak is still alive, their side of the contract with Kodak Alaris would restrict what anyone who purchased Kodak Alaris could do with the rights to market Kodak film. And if in a bankruptcy the Eastman Kodak film businesses were sold, the Kodak Alaris contract would...
  15. Kodak Pension Fund to seek bailout

Oh boy, I am not wanting to hear bad things about Kodak, the real Kodak that makes film. Alaris is scary too, what if a foreign company (more foreign than the UK :D) bought the rights to Kodak film. We could end up with Vladimir Putin making Lomography purple passion film and calling it...

Kodak Pension Fund to seek bailout

I did find this article from yesterday. It doesn;t look good. I was wondering what would happen to Alaris and Kodak furnished Alaris film if Kodak went out of business? They make the film for Alaris I believe. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4273495-fight-survive-mode-kodak-zombie-stock

Kodak Pension Fund to seek bailout

I saw a link to a BBC article in Google - a headline about another Kodak bankruptcy. But there's no article when I clicked on it on the BBC web page. It might have been the Alaris situation that confused BBC. Sorry about that. Carry on.

Kodak Pension Fund to seek bailout

Where do you see that - it certainly doesn't show up in my Google searches. If what you refer to is Eastman Kodak, it hasn't been the "parent organization" since the previous bankruptcy in 2011. Eastman Kodak are the manufacturer that Kodak Alaris buys their film from though.

Kodak, the parent organization, just filed for bankruptcy again. How will that effect Alaris?

Here is capacity data for Kodak chemicals: https://125px.com/docs/techpubs/kodak/e103cp-2017.pdf Kodak Alaris has two links on its site for similar tables - one for film processing, the other for print processing, but they both re-direct to the film processing matrix.

What actually are Lomography repackaged films?

Kodak (recently) made a 800 speed film for use exclusively in their one time use cameras. it is not too big a strech to imagine them selling some under a private label arrangement, and their is no reason why alaris could not be the contractor.. I have no idea. ONE of the lomo 25mm B&W films I...

What actually are Lomography repackaged films?

Eastman Kodak is like Harman, they offer contract coating. I doubt they offer contract coating of currently sold as Kodak Alaris photographic film (other than to Kodak Alaris) but they may be open and able to sell older versions of films to third parties.

Where to learn about tank rotation techniques?

Ilfordphoto.com and Kodak Alaris have instructions for agitation with various developers. Kodak was always advocated, agitate continuously for first 30 seconds (small tank) then every 30 seconds for 5 seconds. Inversion can be accompanied by rotation of the tank. Paterson tank directs that...
